The Colosseum is a building of epic
proportions that needs no introduction. Known around the world
whether it be for it's grand size, it's historic legacy or from
Hollywood movies featuring the famed gladiators; there are few in the
developed world who have not heard about this truly impressive
building. Just turning a street corner and seeing this behemoth
structure in the distance for the first time is enough to fill any
heart with excitement. Gawking at it's sheer size while making a 360
degree lap of the structure from the outside both at day and night
keeps cameras busy, as every angle and view just gets better and
better.
Once inside however is when a first
time visitor gets a true feeling for the size and importance of the
nearly 2000 year old structure. Being on the stage at the center
looking up at the stands built to fit 50,000 people is enough to make
anyone feel miniscule. Imaging the seats full of fans cheering for
the spectacles below whether it be gladiators, re-enactments, public
executions, game hunts, or other forms of entertainment, this
building is enough to invoke curiosity into the minds of anyone lucky
enough to experience the magnificence that is the Colosseum.
