LUCCA

Lucca is a small city just north of Pisa that makes for a great day trip. This small city enclosed by ancient walls is packed full of cathedrals, churches, colorful piazzas, markets, statues and more. The city is best approached by walking along the pathway atop its walls and going in and out at points of interest, if not it's seemingly small size will have you embarrassed and walking in circles through it's winding roads all looking so similar. A day of walking around this city and exploring it's many sights will have you wanting to enjoy a gelato on the train back to Pisa.
