Kong Meng San Phor Kark

Kong Meng San Phor Kark is the largest Buddhist temple in Singapore, built over 90 years ago, this temple turned monastery is a spectacular and peaceful place to clear your mind and escape the fast pace city. With numerous buildings, each one decorated with intricately carved dragons painted with vibrant colors and statue filled gardens around trickling streams it is easy to spend much longer here than anticipated. It is even better when you arrive at lunch time and the main hall is serving up free meals of various tofu and noodle soups to all visitors. A perfect place to unwind and get a free hot meal!
